Foster Wheeler awarded contract for 3 steam generators for ethylene plant

Foster Wheeler AG has been awarded a contract in China to design and build three steam generators for Sinopec Wuhan. The circulating fluidized-bed generators will be for Sinopec Wuhan’s cogeneration plant with capacity to produce 800,000 tpa of ethylene. The 80-megawatt generators, designed to burn coal and petroleum coke, are scheduled to begin commercial operation in the second quarter of 2012.
