GAIL dispels anxiety over Assam Gas Cracker Project delay

GAIL has dispelled apprehensions over Assam Gas Cracker Project, assuring that it would be completed within the scheduled time. The project is on track and is expected to be completed within the stipulated time. The project completion is 60 months from the zero date of September 2007. The Rs 5460 crore joint venture project is among GAIL's three new petrochemical projects. Land for the project has been acquired, the chief operations officer has been appointed and six meetings of Board of Directors of Brahmaputra Crackers and Polymers Limited (BCPL) has been held. Feedstock agreement with OIL, ONGC and NRL has been tied up.
