Sinopec has announced completion of construction at its new 100000 tpa butadiene factory, wherein it has commenced trial run. The facility, built at an investment outlay of US$35.3 mln, is a part of Yangtze Petrochemical Company at Nanjing City, a subsidiary of Sinopec. With the completion of this plant, YPC's butadiene capacity has doubled to 206,000 tpa, making it China's largest producer of the product.
