Global brand owners & industry leaders at AMI’s Plastic Closure Innovations 2017 conference

Leading industry professionals and experts from around the world will come together in Berlin in June 2017 for the Plastic Closure Innovations conference, which is organised by specialist plastics industry consultancy Applied Market Information (AMI). Now in its fifth year, Plastic Closure Innovations will once again provide a unique networking opportunity and high level forum to discuss the latest developments and issues in the evolving plastics caps and closures industry.  The focus for Plastic Closure Innovations 2017 will be on innovation, sustainability, adding value and optimising performance across the entire supply chain. The conference features a diverse programme of presentations from industry experts that will cover some of the latest closure developments, innovative materials and technologies, and novel system advancements. Attendees will also hear critical end-user perspectives and market insight.

Multinational home & beauty brand owner Henkel and food & beverage giant Suntory will put the focus on sustainability while global consumer goods company Unilever will explore the multiple challenges in closure development that brand owners face. A comprehensive overview of closure market trends and developments will be provided by AMI Consulting.

Leading plastic closure producers will share their views on closure design and manufacturing. Delegates will learn from Jabil Packaging Solutions how closures and packaging can create value and support brand differentiation; E-commerce, the new design challenge, will be discussed by RPC; United Caps will explore how closures can support differentiated packaging solutions; Vitop will present new developments in dispensing closure solutions. The Plastics Closure Innovations 2017 programme will also look at technology developments that can help improve efficiency and productivity, with presentations from Arburg, Blue Air Systems, MMC Packaging, StackTeck and Vasantha Tool Crafts. Smart manufacturing technologies and production system developments will be addressed by Engel and Sacmi. Success cases for renewable polyethylene will be discussed by Braksem; material innovations will be detailed by Dow, Ferro, Ineos and Kuraray, while PolyOne will discuss new processes for enhancing premium closures.
