Highly conductive TPV-based TPE compounds

08-Aug-08
A newly developed electrically conductive TPV-based (Thermoplastic Vulcanazite) TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer) compounds have been launched by RTP will serve as alternatives to conductive EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Terpolymer Rubber) with a volume resistivity of 100 ohm-cm and consistent wide processing window across a Shore A hardness range of 55-85. The compounds with trade name, 'ESD C 2800 B' have been brought to the market by the TPE division of specialty compounder, RTP. These TPV-based compounds will have high conductivity, flexibility, elastomeric feel, ease of moulding and high tear strength.
