Huntsman Corporation's recent US$1 bln out-of-court settlement will help the company tide over waning demand from the automotive sector, strengthen its bottom line and maintain healthy level of activities at its Woodlands research facility. The settlement will give the company liquidity and financial strength to weather financial turmoil caused by sharply deteriorating demand for automotive products and wild oil prices swings over the past year.
