Indorama Polymers Public Company plans to expand its Alabama plant to set up a US$12 mln PET recycling facility to blend 25% of the recycled PET, which equals 100 tons a day, into virgin resin. The company is also considering its Asheboro, North Carolina plant as a potential site for bottle recycling. In May 2010, the company, part of a Bangkok-based Indorama Group, invested nearly US$200 mln on the one billion pound PET plant in Decatur.
