In a bid to improve profitability of its PS operations, Ineos Nova has shut down its 50,000 tpa polystyrene producing unit at Breda, The Netherlands. The company will continue with EPS and HPS production at Breda.
The company’s PS operations have been negatively impacted because of overcapacity, amid volatile feedstock markets and waning demand. The closure will tackle the company’s significant overcapacity.
