Europe's leading foam manufacturer, Eurofoam (Austria), recently developed a innovation in close collaboration with Lenzing (Austria), world market leader in cellulose fiber production. The two companies partnered to develop a new kind of foam -- cellpur - which sets new standards in moisture absorption, hygiene and comfort for use in mattresses. The new Cellpur filling for mattresses was developed by adding "Tencel" powder in foam plastic to boost the moisture absorbency of the product. According to Lenzing, adding Tencel powder to the foam plastic increases its moisture absorbency by two times. Due to its unique nano structure, the spherical TENCEL powder absorbs moisture as we sleep and then releases this again quickly. TENCEL and the foam interact to perfection creating a drier sleeping comfort which is infinitely more pleasant.
