Indian Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd that had shut down its operating plants at Vadodara due to floods is contemplated to have restarted the operation of its units on July 3, 2005 after the water receded.
Most of the units of the IPCL, except Utility One, were shut down on July 1, due to torrential rains in Gujarat, which caused a flood-like situation in Vadodara estimated to have killed about 58 people in the past week and make more than 100,000 homeless.
