Iran has shipped has shipped 2000 tons of low density polyethylene (LLDPE) to Belgium. With this, Iran has resumed exports of petrochemicals to Europe following the lifting of US-led Iranian trade sanctions, as per European Plastics News?.
Tehran based JAM Petrochemical Company (JPC) made the first 2,000 ton consignment, shipped in C-Bulk packaging, during the week of 22 December 2014. The initial €1.68m bulk polymer shipment to Belgium “will be the starting point to increase the non-oil and petrochemicals products export to Europe,” a company executive said in a statement. JPC has the capacity to produce up to 300,000 tpa of LLDPE with one of the biggest units in Iran.
