Iran resumes polyethylene sales to Europe : ships LLDPE to Belgium

Iran has shipped has shipped 2000 tons of low density polyethylene (LLDPE) to Belgium. With this, Iran has resumed exports of petrochemicals to Europe following the lifting of US-led Iranian trade sanctions, as per European Plastics News?. Tehran based JAM Petrochemical Company (JPC) made the first 2,000 ton consignment, shipped in C-Bulk packaging, during the week of 22 December 2014. The initial €1.68m bulk polymer shipment to Belgium “will be the starting point to increase the non-oil and petrochemicals products export to Europe,” a company executive said in a statement. JPC has the capacity to produce up to 300,000 tpa of LLDPE with one of the biggest units in Iran.
