Iraq's State Co for Petrochemical Industries inks deal with South Korean company

Iraq's State Co for Petrochemical Industries has signed an agreement with South Korea's STX Heavy Industries for a US$3.2 bln petrochemical project in the country, as per Reuters. The complex is set to produce ethylene, propylene, polyethylene and polyvinyl chloride from 2014. The petrochemical complex and related facilities will be built in Basrah.
