Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. has received a contract from Dow Chemical Company to provide detailed design services for an expansion to Dow's Solution Elastomer manufacturing facility at Schkopau, Germany. The contract value has not been disclosed. The project is scheduled for completion in 2008.
The project involves adding a third process train to the existing production facility. Jacobs' services include performing detailed engineering for the process units portion and managing the offsite interfaces.
Jacobs will perform the detailed engineering entirely from its office in Mumbai, India, with management from its hydrocarbon center in Leiden, The Netherlands.
