A subsidiary of Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. has received a contract from Borealis to provide engineering, design, and construction management services for a polymer production facility in Burghausen, Germany, scheduled for commissioning in 2007. The 330,000 tpa facility will use Borealis' proprietary Borstar® technology to produce polypropylene. The Burghausen location is part of the firm's Hub Central Europe, one of four hubs that Borealis operates in Europe.
Jacobs is executing the work from its office in Leiden, the Netherlands, in collaboration with their affiliate, Neste Jacobs, in Porvoo, Finland.
