Japan's naphtha imports for the petrochemical sector rose 18% in September from the same month a year earlier, as per government figures reported by Reuters. Imports of naphtha for ethylene production totalled 1.31 mln tons last month, up from 1.12 mln tons in the same month a year earlier, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry said.
