Polypropylene demand in the Mexican domestic market during July and August grew 14-15% over May and June, as reported by Platts. This could be attributed to an upsurge in demand at the onset of the busy season. An upsurge is seen in demand for back to school purchases, food packing, etc. Also, few customers start procuring materials in August to get ready for the end of the year festivities.
No change was seen in Indelpro's polypropylene offer prices for the domestic and export market compared to last week. The market waits to see the direction of propylene prices in the US to determine polypropylene offers for September.
