Kuwait Petroleum Corp (KPC) has sealed a naphtha contract for April 2011 to March 2012 with at least one Asian customer at premiums of about US$18/ton to Middle East quotes on a free-on-board (FOB) basis, after a week of discussion in Singapore, as per Reuters.
The latest term premium for full-range naphtha grade is about 18.2% lower than contracts for naphtha lifting April 2010 to March 2011, but 50% higher compared with its December 2010-November 2011 contract. KPC usually holds three term talks a year, and may have also inked a term deal for the same period of April 2011-March 2012 for light grade naphtha at around US$20/ton premium on a FOB basis.
