KraussMaffei invests in China & Japan to expand in PUR processing machinery market

Plastics processing machinery manufacturer KraussMaffei has boosted capacity in Okazaki/Japan and Shanghai/China as it continues to build a strong presence in the growing markets for PUR processing machinery in both countries. To keep pace with growth in demand, KraussMaffei is expanding its resources for process and component development and for production and mould design. KraussMaffei Machinery Co. Ltd. was founded in 2001 in Shanghai. Since then, KraussMaffei has become market leader in PUR systems for the Chinese automotive industry. The company is intent on expanding its already solid position in the PUR insulation segment. Moving to a bigger building has provided more space for customer trials. In addition, capacities for production and mould design have been expanded. Ever since its founding in Okazaki in 2006, KraussMaffei Japan has grown dynamically, far exceeding initial forecasts. This is the background to the capacity expansion at this location. Both production and laboratory capacity in Japan have been substantially increased, enabling KraussMaffei specialists to supply customized and reliable service to the steadily growing customer base.
