World number two maker of industrial gases-Linde AG, is on the verge of securing a US$800 mln contract to help build a acrylic-acid project in Jubail, as per Bloomberg. The plant is a US$1.7 bln joint venture between National Industrialization Co. (Tasnee), Sahara Petrochemical Co. and Dow Chemical Co. The project is due to start full production in 2013 and some sections will be running next year.
