Mechanical problems at Maruzen's Chiba naphtha cracker lead to shutdown

Japan's Maruzen Petrochemical Co shut its 525,000 tpa naphtha cracker in Chiba on Monday due to a mechanical problem, as per traders in Reuters. The restart schedule was unclear but the problem was considered small, traders said. No official statement has been received from the company.
