Micro Vertical Injection Molding Machine

28-Jan-15
A micro vertical injection molding machine designed for the high-speed molding of precision micro parts will be introduced by Plustech, Inc., the North American branch of Sodick’s IMM Division. The new HC03VRE Micro Vertical Molding Machine achieves a dry cycle time of only 0.9 seconds. Short cycle times are made possible using a mold clamping system that closes and clamps in a single motion coupled with a belt-driven table rotation. The electrically driven hybrid direct-pressure mold clamping system uses four tie-bars to ensure excellent alignment and high rigidity so that clamping force is applied uniformly. It also features Sodick’s V-LINE® System which separates the plasticization and injection processes. This two-stageplunger system enables consistent measurement and injection, ideal for miniature / micro precision components. With a compact footprint of only 1625mm x 1178mm (63.9” x 46.4”), the HC03VRE has a 460mm (18.1”) table and a clamping force of 3.3 tons. At NPE2015, Sodick will be featuring a live demo of the HC03VRE(8mm plunger / 14mm screw): a direct gated two-cavity micro-bobbin application (part weight of 0.09 gram) with a cycle time of only 1.9 seconds.
