Ministry proposes to ease rules, to allow packaging of gutka products in small sachet for exports

Gutka manufacturers may get a partial reprieve as the Union environment and the forests ministry proposed to ease rules and allow packaging of gutka products in small sachet purely for export purposes. The move, sources in the ministry said, came after the government received many requests to ease the ban. The Karnataka government too had asked the environment ministry to ease the rules and allow manufacturing for export purposes.
