Mitsui Chemicals has shut a naphtha cracker at its Ichihara plant in Chiba. The cracker has capacity to produce 612,000 tpa of ethylene and was shuttered due to problems with an electrical system, as per Reuters. The company has been investigating the cause of the problem. Resatrt date of the cracker is undecided.
