Naphtha crack spread in Asia falls

15-Jun-11
Naphtha crack spread have fallen in Asia, signaling eroding profit for refiners. As per Bloomberg, the premium of Japan-delivered naphtha to Brent sank by over 14 dollars to US$60.6/ton. The narrowing crack spread indicates refining margins from making the petrochemical feedstock are declining. Open-specification naphtha for delivery to Japan fell by over 8 dollars to US$960/ton.
