Nizhnekamskneftekhim to unveil 230,000 tons PE plant in final quarter

Nizhnekamskneftekhim plans to commence operations at a 230,000 tpa polyethylene line in Q4-2008. Start up was originally planned for Q3. The polymerization tanks have been installed, construction and assembly work on the line is near completion, and the core production equipment has been assembled. Hydraulic testing of pipelines is being conducted. Overall project cost is estimated at US$190 mln.
