NOVA Chemicals halts US styrenic polymer plant on poor demand

Canadian company NOVA Chemicals have halted operations at its Beaver Valley site in Monaca, Pennsylvania, US. The Beaver Valley site which produces styrenic polymers for several markets was shut due to dramatic decline in demand. The restart of Beaver Valley plant involved in production of expandable polystyrene, ARCEL® and DYLARK® resins, will largely depend on the future demand for the products.
