Oil prices plunge after spiking to all-time high of US$139.89

World oil prices plunged to US$134 from all-time highs of US$140 amid uncertainty over Saudi Arabia's pledge to increase production output. Saudi Arabia was reported to be planning an oil output increase by 200,000 bpd in July. The Saudi increase came amid growing pressure for more oil from the OPEC which pumps about 40% of world output.
