OPaL Proposes Change In Status From SEZ Unit To DTA Unit

OPaL has announced in its communication that it is in the process of converting from an SEZ unit to a Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) Unit.
ln this connection, OPaL has received in-principle approval from SEZ authorities and the final approval is expected shortly.
OPaL will continue its operations on the same location as a DTA unit.
Post transition date, existing GST number of SEZ unit will be closed and a separate GST registration as a DTA unit will be intimated. Also, SEZ tax exemptions will not be available after the transition date.
The actual transition date will be informed in a reasonable time prior to actual transition date.
