20-Oct-16 ExxonMobil and Colines are collaborating at K2016 to demonstrate three different cast stretch load protection film solutions at the Colines booth (Hall 16/A39). The film formulations developed for all three end user applications include Exceed™, Enable™ and Vistamaxx™ performance polymers.
A 7-layer ALLROLLEX®-2000 line equipped with 5 PERFORM-EX extruders will produce at very high extrusion line speed a thin power pre-stretch film. The PREROLLEX®-1000 line will produce a 5-layer ultra-thin in-line pre-stretched hand wrap film. Colines will also demonstrate a new-to-the-world high-speed wrapping technology, ALLWRAPPER®. This process uses a thin high tenacity stretch wrap film to bundle a range of products from bottles and cans to carton drink bricks in a continuous process.
Developed to replace collation shrink film, the technology uses less energy as a shrink tunnel is not required. It also allows similar or better stability (testing by ESTL equipment) to be achieved using less film for lower packaging weight. A unique feature of the technology is that the wrapping film can be cut at high speeds, through thick bundles and operate in-line with the package filling operations. The formulation was designed to provide excellent toughness, optical properties and outstanding holding force at thin gauge.
