AIPMA supports strict action being taken against all those responsible for illegal manufacturing / circulationl of plastics carry bags less than 50 microns thereby bringing bad name to the industry.” Mr. Arvind Mehta, Chairman, Governing Council AIPMA said, “Plastics as we know is one of the best alternate material and we need to create a change in perception towards appropriate use of Plastic. The menace of Plastics bags is critical and it is more of waste management and littering habits.” Mr. Akhilesh Bhargava, Chairman, Environment Committee, AIPMA said, “We need to develop a self sustainable-economic model for managing plastic waste by developing waste banks through public private partnerships.” AIPMA maintains that Plastic is one of the best alternate materials available, and at times is termed as magic material for it requires minimum energy to be transformed in whichever way one wants it. Be it toothbrush, cell phone, laptops, electrical gadgets and many more. Plastic has greater application value. It plays vital role in most of the sectors be it agriculture, infrastructure, healthcare, affordable housing etc. Now-a-days one can’t imagine a day without plastics.
