Plastindia 2015: Destination Gandhinagar, plastics industry to benefit

At a media briefing held at Ahmedabad, Mr Saurabh Patel, Minister for Finance, Energy and Petrochemicals, state of Gujarat has announced that Plastindia 2015 will be held at Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The event, held at Hotel Radisson Blue, saw members of the press present in large numbers along with leading plastic industry stalwarts from across the country as well as the plastics fraternity from Gujarat. Saurabh Patel said, "Gujarat has become the first Indian state to host Plastindia outside Delhi. Gujarat is going to announce new industrial policy very shortly. At a time when our Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched 'Make in India' campaign, Gujarat is going to announce new industrial policy shortly. All manufacturers including plastic manufacturers and processors, who are looking for capacity expansion and diversification will be extended all possible support under the new policy." Separately, he has sought Centre's intervention to restart Air India's flights to Delhi and Mumbai from Vadodara, writing to Union Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathy Raju to resume operations of Air India's flights on the New Delhi-Vadodara and Mumbai-Vadodara routes. Mr Subhash Kadakia, President Plastidia Foundation said, "The previous exhibitions organized by the Plastindia Foundation, have already established India as a desired destination to the global plastics industry players as well as depicting the eagerness of Indian entrepreneurs to absorb and deliver to the growing market demands. Every exhibition organized by the Plastindia Foundation have bettered the previous one and grown to become a much sought after event, both nationally and internationally.PI 2015 is the largest single business opportunity of 2015, the exhibition would significantly expand the business horizons of all those who participate, regardless of their origin and business size. All in all, PI 2015 promises opportunities for growth and success to anyone associated with or willing to associate with the wonderful world of plastics." He added, " The 9th Edition of Plastindia 2015 will be held at Helipad Ground, Gandhinagar, which is now a known fact. This is the first time the globally third ranked Plastindia 2015- International Plastics Exhibition & Conference comes to Gandhinagar, Gujarat to bring the new venue to the Global attention as an Exhibition Ground created & developed as per International Standards.
