Poland's PKN Orlen to twice petrochem capacity in five years

Poland's leading fuel company, PKN Orlen has proposed a 5-year outlay of PLN 4 bln for its petrochemical projects in order to twice its capacity from 800,000 tpa to 1.6 bln tpa, and grow its purified teraphthalic acid (PTA) and paraxylene production by 600,000 tpa. By increasing annual petrochem capacity, the fuel major plans to become strategic deliverer for the Polish chemical sector.
