Lackluster demand and bearish market sentiments have dragged down LDPE, LLDPE and HDPE prices in Asia. Despite CFR China LDPE offers dipping below US$1400/MT, buying interest was seen no higher than US$1300/MT.
LLDPE prices plunged to hover around US$1250-1300/MT CFR China.
CFR China offers for HDPE film grade dipped below US$1300/MT whilst buying interest was heard about 150-200 dollars lower.
The financial bail-out packages fail to have major impact on buyer sentiments unless it translates into an increase in demand in the US, a key export market for Asian processors.
