Leading global provider of specialized polymer materials -PolyOne Corporation, has sold to Mexichem, a 50% equity stake in Geon Polimeros Andinos (GPA), a vinyl compounding joint venture located in Cartagena, Colombia. Mexichem, producer of vinyl products in Latin America, is the other 50% partner in the joint venture and plans to rename the company. The sale was concluded for a total of US$13.5 mln in cash for a combination of its interest in GPA and certain transition agreements associated with the sale.
