Eastman Chemicals’ plant in Longview, east of Dallas makes more than 40 chemical and polymer products. The plant has been shut on February 20 on account of a power outage. Some equipment was damaged during an attempted restart and operations are not expected to return to normal until later in the month. Most of the impact will be offset by higher than expected sales and operating margins.
