Procap, a European group involved in development, production and marketing of plastic caps and closures have acquired Irish company Mc Farlane Plastics and Luxemburg-based Elocap Lux. Mc Farlane Plastics, previously owned by Mc Farlane Group produces mainly snap caps and spoons for the baby food industry and other plastic caps & closures for the food and chemical industry with a 2008 turn over of EUR 9 mln. Elocap Lux - previously owned by Israel-based Elocap Ltd which is jointly owned 50/50 by Elopak AS (Norway) and Kibbutz Yakum (Israel) - has started the production in Rodange end 2006 and has realised a turn over of EUR 5 mln in 2008. The two above acquisitions indicate that Procap is participating to the necessary restructuration of the European market of plastic caps & closures.
