Commercial operations have commenced at The Kuwait Styrene Company's new Ethyl Benzene & Styrene Monomer production plant. The plant, to be operated as part of Greater Equate's integrated facility, has a production capacity of 450,000 metric tpa of Styrene Monomer (SM) and is currently producing on-spec styrene monomer. The plant is Kuwait’s first-ever styrenics manufacturing facility. Production from the plant will be marketed solely by the Equate Marketing Company. EQUATE Petrochemical Company is the single operator of Greater EQUATE, which includes TKSC, Kuwait Paraxylene Production Company (KPPC) and The Kuwait Olefins Company (TKOC).
