Global equity markets weaken, dollar strengthens, oil prices fall

15-Sep-09
Oil prices slackened in Asian trade as the global equity markets weakened and the dollar regained some strength. New York's main contract, light sweet crude for October delivery dipped to US$68.4, while Brent North Sea crude for October delivery settled at US$67.14. Oil prices are expected to yoyo between US$65-75 on weak supply fundamentals and optimistic hopes of economic recovery.
