Qatar to clinch over US$10 billion in gas and petrochem deals

Strengthening the Gulf Arab state's standing as a leading energy player, natural gas giant Qatar will clinch more than US$10 billion in natural gas and petrochemical deals with multinationals. Qatar Petroleum (QP) and Anglo-Dutch major Royal Dutch/Shell signed a deal of almost US$7 billion to supply liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the Qatargas-4 project. QP is also expected to sign a separate US$3 billion petrochemical deal with Shell.
