Players in major global markets are beginning to receive introductory offers for LLDPE film from Qatofin's new 450,000 tpa LLDPE plant in Qatar that commenced production in November 2009, as per Chemorbis. Commercial production is scheduled for Q1-2010. In their quest for better priced cargoes, buyers in Southeast Asia are considering purchase some of this material. This will provide respite against the rapid upward movements seen in regional PE prices.
