Univation Technologies, LLC announced that Qatar Petroleum and Qatar Petrochemical Company (QP - QAPCO) has selected Univation’s UNIPOL™ PE Process for three world class polyethylene reactor lines, representing a total capacity of 1,590 kta, to be located at its Al Sejeel Petrochemical Complex in Ras Laffan, Qatar. One 550,000 tpa line will produce linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE), and two 520,000 tpa lines will be dedicated to high density polyethylene (HDPE). The production lines will use Univation’s proprietary XCAT™ Metallocene and PRODIGY™ Bimodal Catalysts. This will be the second UNIPOL™ PE Process project in the State of Qatar.
