Reliance Industries Ltd plans to start its new 2.2 mln mtpa paraxylene plant at Jamnagar in October, on schedule as announced earlier this year, as per Platts. RIL has been buying PX for its new PTA plants at Dahej, which have a combined capacity of 2.24 mln mt/year, but with the new PX plant starting up, the company is likely to turn into an exporter.
