European oil and petrochemicals group Repsol has inked a deal with China's Tianjin Bohai Chemical Group to license technology for a Chinese styrene and propylene oxide production plant. The licensing agreement was signed by Tianjin Bohai Chemical Development (TBCD), a subsidiary of the Chinese group and Madrid-based Repsol at a ceremony in Tianjin, China.
TBCD will use the technology at the new plant to be constructed at its industrial complex in the northern China port city of Tianjin. Capacity there will be 200000 tpa for propylene oxide (PO) and 450000 tpa for styrene monomer.
