Samsung Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd. has been awarded a 323.7 billion won ($347.4 million) construction order to build main naphtha cracking units for Thailand's Map Ta Phut Olefins Co. Ltd. The order includes building of an olefin recovery unit and olefin convergence unit, the two main units for a naphtha cracker. Construction of the 800,000 tpa cracker will be completed by early 2010.
