US-based H2Gen Innovations, Inc. has successfully completed commissioning of a 1.5 mln scf/day (1500 Nm3/hr) hydrogen gas purification plant for Saudi Polyolefins Company (SPC) at its Tasnee Polyolefins Complex in Al Jubail Industrial City, Saudi Arabia. Tasnee operates the world's largest propane dehydrogenation and polypropylene complex in Al Jubail.
H2Gen provided a turnkey MARS® PSA system including design, manufacturing, installation and commissioning, to process a low value waste gas stream into commercial purity hydrogen gas for Tasnee's high density polyethylene and polypropylene expansion projects at the site. The H2Gen MARS® system compresses a process gas stream from a low temperature recovery unit, purifies the product gas to 99.999% H2 using H2Gen's MARS® PSA technology and further compress both the product gas and tail gas. The tail gas is used to fire a waste heat boiler.
