Selenis announced the production shut down of part of the PET production lines of its Plant in S. Giorgio di Nogaro, Italy (formerly Aussapol). "This shut down was planned for maintenance and process improvement purposes ", said Rui Sousa, Selenis Holding General Manager. "Originally, the maintenance shut down was scheduled for August, but we decided to anticipate it considering the market situation", he added.
The maintenance operations started this week and will be concluded before the end of the second week of June. "This will have no effect on the regular supply of our customers", said Rui Sousa. Selenis is a leading European producer and supplier of PET polymers and polyester fibers, with production sites in Portugal and Italy.
