Sinochem Quanzhou has selected UNIPOL™ Polypropylene Process Technology for its new polypropylene facility to be built in Quanzhou, Fujian Province. The 200,000 tpa facility is expected to come on line in 2011, and is the sixth polypropylene plant in China to license UNIPOL™ Polypropylene Technology from Dow Basic Plastics. The facility will mainly produce homopolymers to be sold in domestic and overseas markets. With this capacity, UNIPOL Polypropylene Technology will be used to produce almost 11 mln tpa of polypropylene, comprising over 17% of total global capacity.
