Sinopec Shanghai PetroChemical's capacity expansion plan has been granted approval by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) from the existing 150,000 tons to 600,000 tons. Sinopec Shanghai also plans to build a 300,000 ton polypropylene plant and a 380,000 ton glycol unit in the vicinity of its ethylene plant.
