Sinopec to sign a JV with Vietnam's Petrolimex for a US$4.5 bln petrochem & refinery project

Sinopec Corp, Asia's leading oil refining company is expected to sign a joint venture with Vietnam's Petrolimex to invest in a US$ 4.5 bln petrochemical complex and refinery in Khanh Hoa province, as per a Petrolimex official. This marks the fifth largest project in Vietnam. While the details of the petrochemical complex are not disclosed, the refinery believed to have an annual processing capacity of 10 mln tons of crude, will import the crude oil as a feed from Singapore or the Middle East.
