Sinopec Wuhan Co. announced earlier this month that its 800,000 tpa ethylene project had produced its first batch of “qualified products,” marking the plant’s successful commissioning and start-up. The project includes 11 greenfield major production units with public utilities and supporting facilities. It was built in 3 years with a total investment of US$2.7 bln and will produce 2.3 mln tpa of more than 20 kinds of products.
